The Studio Kimono was designed for those working in studios, workshops and creative spaces. It has 3 large pockets on the front body, with a pull up pen/pencil pocket and an internal phone pocket. There is a removable magnet patch on the front which can hold tools or pins and needles. The shape of the Studio Kimono is slimmer and slightly longer than The Garden Kimono. All pocket openings are bar tacked for strength and the kimonos are made with 5 string overlocking and double stitching on the seams for durability.
The Studio Kimonos are made at a family run unit in East London who Olivia has worked with for many years. The kimonos are made in small batches from dead-stock fabrics and the amount of kimonos made per fabric will vary with what meterage is on the roll. These rolls are painstakingly sourced in fabric warehouses around the UK. Using up these already existing rolls means we can use what is already on the planet and give a forgotten roll of fabric a new lease of life. Olivia's years of experience means she will select only high quality natural fibres, this takes many visits and lots of hours to select the perfect fabrics for each collection.
